For from all the way back to even Adam and Eve we find blood being spilt for men’s sinful deeds. A transaction between man and God since has always been through blood it seems. For Moses wrote, “The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them” you see. He our creator even then became our mediator.. And again God’s covenant with Abraham was brought about through, “a three year old heifer, and a three year old female goat, and a three year old ram, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” All killed for a covenant with our great grandfather Abraham by who we can claim through Faith. Which to reach an agreement with God Abraham had to cut into two and lay “each half opposite the other…” and throughout the book of numbers again we are met with sacrifice for the sins of Israel His covenant people. And from Adam and Eve, to Abraham, and even Moses we see that, “it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement. ‘However it was and “is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.” Thus one can safely add that, “according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness coming our way. Blood in exchange for disobedience and this is the way it has always been. Recall with me Isaiah fifty Three, and again see Gods meditation between us and our sin. He killed His animals over and over again, and then ended it all with His Own flesh with His blood cleansing all who would come near. “So Christ also having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. Come Lord Jesus come. Amen.
