Hebrews Eleven

  1. Just a couple of comments and a question. Commentator Vincent describes faith, based on vs. 27, as “Faith apprehends as a real fact what is not revealed to the senses. It rests on that fact, acts upon it, and is upheld by it in the face of all that seems to contradict it. Faith is real seeing.”
Another commentator says that in vs. 1, instead of ‘substance’, it could be read “Faith is the title deed of things hoped for.” God guarantees to us the possession of salvation and other promises for which we have trusted Him.
My question is: I have been intrigued that through out Hebrews 11 the preposition ‘by’ has been used, as in ‘by faith’. When we get to vs. 33 it says ‘through faith’. Is there something significant there that I am missing?
