“And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him. Yet He is actually not far from each on of us.”
~ Acts 17:26-27 ~
On my way home from work today I stopped at a gas
station in north Tulsa. Looking over at the edge of the road I saw some men sitting with a table with T-shirts, so I went over to talk with them. Turned out, these men from KillRacismNotMe (facebook), are Christians set out to battle racism and hate of all sorts.
When I asked Orsbon Hawkins Jr. what was their scriptural basis for their vision, he said Acts 17:26. Both O. J. and Pastor Cleo Harris Jr., of A New Day Fellowship, desire to take the love and power of God to the hurting people of our world. Their ministry is more than simply combating racism of colors, but one that is combating the racism and anger in the home, in families, in the Tulsa area and beyond. They have been faith to God’s calling regarding this ministry for over a year.
When you have a chance, check them out and connect with them. The one thing O.J. asked for more than anything is prayer. I was overjoyed to hear this request, for O.J. understands where true power and walking with God is found. It was wonderful to see their commitment and even more wonderful to have such sweet fellowship in Christ and to talk deep of an applied Theology in action. These men are devoted to the Lord’s calling and passionate about helping people. Thank you for the C.D. my brothers!
Peace and blessings,
