God has made Himself known

God has made Himself known, but has He to you?

20151027_203422Looking up at the moon light last night, with clouds surrounding all around, aglow with radiant beams projecting off the moon having been sent from the sun, the two verses came rushing into my mind.

1. God has made Himself known in His creation. “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” Romans 1:20

2. God has made Himself known in His Son. “For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” Colossians 1:19-20

More than just making Himself known, in part, through His creation, He made Himself known, in “all the fullness” of Himself in His dear Son. The question for us is this: Is Jesus Christ, the very Son of God, the Word made manifest, has He Himself become the rich and precious treasure of our life; has He become so much of a treasure that we would sell all we have in the world to purchase the most precious jewel; has He become to us so rich that nothing else would dare to compare nor could ever entertain our minds and captivate our attentions?

Remember, many were claiming to believe in Him, “but Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them.” (John 2:23-25) How do you know that He has been wraught about in your soul? Test yourselves (2 Corinthians 13:5). Has His Spirit truly testified unto you (Romans 8:16), and this in all trials and sufferings for the sake of the Gospel and holiness without with no one will see the Lord? (Hebrews 12:14) Let us be diligent to seek Christ truly as our ALL in ALL, lest we be told, “Be away from Me, I never knew you!” (Matthew 7:21-23)
