An Open Letter From A Not So Famous Christian Author To Professing Christians Regarding The Election Issues

prayerHmmm… I could say so much and yet, why? Why play the fool as so many have seeming left the “simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.”(2 Corinthians 11:3) Instead, a few thoughts to seriously and biblically ponder.

Who said you ought to reverberate and make central godlessness? What should a true Christian expect of culture? (seriously ponder 1 Corinthians 5:9-13) Ought I not to expect more in terms of piety from the church? Are you so easily offended that you have forgotten from where you have come (Revelation 2:4-5) – depravity? (Genesis 6:5, 8:21) Where is the true grace and love of God being displayed in and through you towards those “outside the church“? (Titus 2:11-14) I guess since we have social media the Bible does not apply to piety? I guess Jesus Christ, and a boasting upon the Gospel, gets to take a back seat to sin? Does anyone (can you) see what Satan is doing? Do you know what the definition for Satan even is? Believer, get your vision, your topic of talk, your eyes and ears filled with the glories of Christ. If you are truly a believer, stay in the boat and never leave the true grace of God.

Or, maybe you have a reason to complain that Jesus did not have.

Could it be you have not the slightest idea of the will of God in your life. Could it be that you have not turned over all the “keys” of your heart to Christ?

In a recent online Bible study, I said this,

“Merely shaking our head in agreeance is not obedience in itself. The evidence that we believe in faith, is not perfection, but is that reality, in a desire to obey, follows professed verbalization. If we agree that prayer and a deeper walk with God is greatly needed, then indeed we must be doers of the word, not mere hearers only, thus deceiving ourselves.”

You may be thinking, “But I am not making much of sin.” Maybe you are not, but let me tell you, I know that you know of people who are. Well, then just who are all the professing Christians (some famous, some with supposedly high theological degrees, some with no popularity at all) sharing (gossiping – depending on your interpretation of the definition) every piece of culturally flesh-centered stories, allegations and out right trash on their pages and from their lips? Do we honestly think Christ will honor our trash-talk of others trash and uplifting of sin? Do we think our godless and powerless talk has the power to change the hearts and minds of anyone?

You may say, “But we are not lifting up sin.” Really? Satan has so twisted the publicly professing church that the very center of talk is “why or why not I am voting for Mr. or Mrs. X.” Slander and opinions against others is absolutely rampant. And as long as I have any platform to speak, I will call out to the professing Church, like the true prophets old would as well, and call her back to her singleness of eye and singleness of ear and singleness of speech to be about the “Author and Perfecter of (her) faith.” (Hebrews 12:2) Only in this single-centered boasting upon God is He pleased. (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

Believer, start acting like Jesus (1 Peter 2:18-23, 4:1-2, 4:7-11), or be told by Jesus, “Be away from Me, I never knew you, you workers of lawlessness.” (Matthew 7:21-23) Stop looking towards and trusting flesh. (Jeremiah 17:5-9) Start plowing up “your fallow ground.” (Jeremiah 4:3; Hosea 10:12)

Listen up nations, kings, leaders, and constituents – “Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath is quickly kindled.” (Psalm 2:12) “Without holiness (sanctification) no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14)

I plead with you, stop the opinions and making much of sin, just stop! Get grounded, as you claim, upon Christ alone; unless of course you are proven false. (2 Corinthians 13:5; Matthew 7:21-23) For what I am seeing shows that we do not believe, nor stand upon, the sufficiency, supremacy, and infallibility of the Scriptures. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) Furthermore, the witness we show is not good. If we have no common voice of unity and a boasting upon Christ as Lord and Savior, we best close our mouths; I dare say, the world who does not know God, is being pushed back from the truth by all the confusing and poor witnessing. For myself, I surely do not want to cause even a “little one to stumble (sin).” (Matthew 18:6)

Remember, we are called to be a peculiar people. (1 Peter 2:9-10)Men, rise up, be men (Luke 12:35-40; 1 Corinthians 16:13-14), especially Church leaders, elders, pastors, and teachers, you have but no option in reckoning with this plea.

Lovingly and with a distraught heart,

– a not so famous Christian author
