“I can do all things…” Not Exactly!

This last Sunday Pastor Brett Baggett, of Ekklesia Muskogee, gave the last of two messages dedicated to Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” There is little doubt that the exposition given through this verse is one of the best I have ever heard; it was clear, concise and as if one of the puritans or reformers was heralding the Word!

Contrary to popular belief, or shall we say ‘unlawful branding’, this verse (among others as well) has suffered great twisting at the hands of straight up bad pastors and teachers who are plagued with the mind of a simpleton. Brett started off with a overview of Philippians 4:13 when preaching a message through verses 10-13, a message entitled, “The Secret to Facing All Things with Joy.”

Watch below the introduction to 4:13 and parts one and two of this in depth expository balance of what this verse does not mean and what truth this promise holds for the true believer.
