Sacrifice of Praise – Do NOT Lose Heart.

No praise has ever been so sweet as the praise that is given unto God, while walking with Him, in the midst of trials. And the specific trials themselves, by their type, need not a name. It is that they are trials unto you and unto me, being specific in their nature, even divinely appointed, and piercing deeply, that we might come to rest fully in the absolute sovereignty of His very being.

Within the culmination of that specific trial and the closeness of walking with an all-sovereign God, we make His glory known in the deepest recesses of pain, crying forth His glories and praises and adorations.

Oh believer, the sacrifice of praise is most beautiful, most humble, and most precious a place in honoring, in glorifying, and in sweetness of fellowship with the King of kings. Let none of us despise such trials, but may we see that they are spent for the eternal purposes of God’s glory and His eternal good forged in us by His great love and for our ultimate good.

So consider then:

“Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of the lips that acknowledge His name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are please to God.” (Heb. 13:15-6)

“The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies Me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God.” (Ps. 50:23)
